Recommendation DNA i

Early Evidence Profile
Evidence is still building. As more independent listening evidence becomes available, this Recommendation DNA profile becomes more complete.
Trait bars describe characteristics such as complexity, romance, pace, and accessibility. A numerical score appears only when enough independent quality evidence is available.
What it’s about

In The Wild Robot Escapes, Roz begins a new chapter far from the island she once called home. She comes to life at Hilltop Farm, a dairy farm run by the Shareef family, and is expected to help with the work. Although Roz tries to behave like the robot she was designed to be, she cannot forget her life in the wild or the connections she made there. Her conversations with the farm’s animals eventually reveal where she is, and news of her situation reaches Brightbill, who sets out to find her with help from the farmer’s children.

Escape is only the beginning of their challenge. As Roz and Brightbill make their way toward home, they encounter new dangers and barriers that test their determination. The story follows their action-filled journey while asking what home means to a robot who has learned to live among animals—and how far friendship can carry them through an uncertain return.

Evidence Confidence

Why this matters →
DevelopingAudiobook-specific confidence
  • The book itself is well identified and supported across independent sources.
  • We still have limited information tied to this exact recording or edition.
  • We have recording-specific performance commentary or analyzed audio for this audiobook.

We have a useful picture of the audiobook, though some listening and edition-specific details are still becoming clearer.

Evidence Snapshot i

These cards measure different things in the same evidence pool, so they are not meant to add together. Retained Evidence counts unique saved records; discussions and networks count independent groups; narration and edition cards count only records qualified for those specific jobs.

What this means

Unique evidence records that remain after filtering and deduplication. The larger evidence-signal total shown below can be higher because one retained record may support several separate facts or observations.

10Narration Evidence
Usable voice or performance evidence for this recording
Supporting sources 2
What this means

Performance evidence that can actually describe how this narrator sounds or performs this recording. Identity records, narrator biographies, sample links, and awards are useful context but do not count here on their own.

3Edition Sources
Recording-specific identity and edition checks
Supporting sources 3
What this means

Sources tied to the audiobook recording itself, such as verified product or catalog records that help resolve narrator, runtime, format, release information, or stable recording identifiers.

A larger evidence pool gives us more to work with, but volume alone does not make a conclusion stronger. Relevance and independence still matter.

Narrator Experience

How Kate Atwater performs this particular recording.

How we build this section
Performance descriptions use evidence tied to this recording. Repeated independent observations carry more weight than isolated comments. Narrator background and awards add context but do not determine how this performance is described. Measured sample signals describe only the analyzed excerpt and are never treated as quality scores.

Performance summary

In the verified sample, Kate Atwater is heard with measured pacing and clear enunciation. These excerpt-level observations are combined with recording-specific listener evidence, so the profile stays cautious about qualities the short sample cannot demonstrate across the full audiobook.

What this means for your listen

Early performance evidence points this way: the steady or measured pace should feel easy to settle into; listeners who prefer brisk delivery may find it more deliberate. Clear or careful diction should make dialogue, names, and unfamiliar terms easier to follow over a longer listen.

Why we describe the performance this way

We use evidence tied specifically to this recording. Repeated observations across independent sources carry more weight than isolated comments. Narrator background and career recognition can add useful context, but they do not determine how this performance is described.

Is This Right for You?

Story and reader-fit guidance remains useful here. Recording-specific claims are limited to evidence matched to this exact edition.

You’ll probably enjoy this if…

  • You are looking for a children's audiobooks story.
  • You are looking for a teen & young adult story.

It might not be the best fit if…

  • If narration style is important to you, use the verified sample above alongside the edition-matched performance evidence.

Our Take

The Wild Robot sits comfortably in children's audiobooks and teen & young adult territory. The story is better characterized than the recording right now, so the recommendation stays grounded in the book itself. Story Quality is one of the more consistent strengths readers point to. The narrator is confirmed, but the book itself is easier to characterize than this particular performance. Until the recording has stronger support, the narrator credit is useful context rather than a performance verdict.
