Recommendation DNA i

Early Profile
Not scored

Supported story and work-level traits remain visible, while recording-specific DNA is withheld until the current audiobook edition is resolved and refreshed.

The overall DNA score uses supported Quality dimensions only. Trait bars describe characteristics such as complexity, romance, pace, and accessibility; those traits do not raise or lower the overall score.

What it’s about

From the acclaimed author of After the Crash— "Harlan Coben fans will enjoy Bussi's . mystery with its intriguing characters and twisty conclusion" ( Library Journal). A fatal accident in the past, broken lives, family secrets . Michel Bussi serves up a gripping thriller, set amid the beautiful scenery of Corsica. In the summer of 2016, Clotilde is spending her vacation in Corsica with her husband, Franck, and her teenage daughter, Valentine. It is the first time she has been back to the island since the car accident in which her parents and her brother were killed decades earlier.

She was in the car too, but miraculously escaped with her life. This return plunges Clotilde back into the deepest recesses of her adolescence. She reacquaints herself with her paternal grandparents, Lisabetta and Cassanu, members of a powerful Corsican family that reigns over the island.

Evidence Confidence

Why this matters →
LimitedAudiobook-specific confidence
  • The book itself is well identified and supported across independent sources.
  • A specific audiobook recording has not yet been verified strongly enough for edition-level claims.
  • Narrator and performance claims remain withheld until the recording identity is verified.
Book evidence: Developing

There is useful independent information about the book itself, though some story details are still supported more clearly than others. The Limited label reflects what we still don’t know about this particular audiobook recording—not a lack of information about the book.

Evidence Snapshot i

These cards measure different things in the same evidence pool, so they are not meant to add together. Retained Evidence counts unique saved records; discussions and networks count independent groups; narration and edition cards count only records qualified for those specific jobs.

21Retained Evidence
Unique evidence records after filtering and deduplication
Supporting sources 2
What this means

Unique evidence records that remain after filtering and deduplication. The larger evidence-signal total shown below can be higher because one retained record may support several separate facts or observations.

0Discussions
Unique review, forum and conversation groups
What this means

Separate reviews, forums, interviews, or conversations, with duplicates kept from inflating the total.

What this means

Different platforms and publications represented in the research behind this page.

0Narration Evidence
Usable voice or performance evidence for this recording
What this means

Performance evidence that can actually describe how this narrator sounds or performs this recording. Identity records, narrator biographies, sample links, and awards are useful context but do not count here on their own.

0Edition Sources
Recording-specific identity and edition checks
What this means

Sources tied to the audiobook recording itself, such as verified product or catalog records that help resolve narrator, runtime, format, release information, or stable recording identifiers.

What this means

The most recent date this page’s saved evidence picture was refreshed and checked.

A larger evidence pool gives us more to work with, but volume alone does not make a conclusion stronger. Relevance and independence still matter.

Narrator Experience

Narrator and performance details stay withheld until a specific audiobook recording can be verified.

How we build this section
Performance descriptions use evidence tied to this recording. Repeated independent observations carry more weight than isolated comments. Narrator background and awards add context but do not determine how this performance is described. Measured sample signals describe only the analyzed excerpt and are never treated as quality scores.
A specific audiobook recording has not yet been verified strongly enough.

The book-level sections remain usable, but this section will not guess at a narrator or performance.

Is This Right for You?

Story and reader-fit guidance remains useful while the exact audiobook recording is still being resolved.

You’ll probably enjoy this if…

  • You are looking for a genre story.

It might not be the best fit if…

  • If narration matters to you, confirm the exact edition and narrator before choosing the recording.

Our Take

Time Is a Killer sits comfortably in genre territory. The story is better characterized than the recording right now, so the recommendation stays grounded in the book itself. The book itself is easier to characterize than the audiobook performance right now, so this take stays focused on what the story and reader response can support rather than guessing about the recording.
