What it’s about

A former con man now working as an MPD agent, the narrator is still learning what it means to uphold the law—but he knows there are lines he will not cross. His superior in Internal Affairs, Agent Söze, has no such restraint. As Söze hunts rule-breakers and dismantles the precinct, the narrator and his partner find themselves under unwelcome scrutiny. Meanwhile, the city is descending into chaos. The Crow and Hammer, a local troublemaking guild, has been accused of harboring a demon mage, though the truth remains uncertain.

Then a notorious rogue druid calls in a favor the narrator never meant to promise, forcing him into the growing crisis. Caught between an aggressive internal investigation, a dangerous accusation, and an inconvenient debt, he must navigate the city’s disorder while searching for a way to undermine Söze’s campaign against the precinct.
